Community management and ownership of assets
The CLG framework for the government policy on the transfer of management and ownership of public assets to communities as set out Making assets work: The Quirk Review 2007 and Managing Risks in Asset Transfer: a Guide) in July 2008. The government provides Online tools for communities to get started. The IDeA website provides practical examples of successful transfers.
Asset Transfer Unit
This government sponsored service set-up in 2008 is delivered by the Development Trust Association to provide information, advice and expert support on asset transfers.
